Visitor Information

The Lomita Railroad Museum is dedicated to educating and informing the public about railroads, particularly of the steam era; the present, past, & future of transportation; the history of the U.S. Westward Expansion; the settlement of California; and the people who made this all happen.

The museum, located in the Irene Lewis Park, is owned and operated by the City of Lomita and is overseen by the Lomita Parks & Recreation Department.

Admission There is a small admission fee. $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12.
Parking Parking is located in lot adjacent to museum. Parking is free.
Accessibility Most of the museum is wheelchair accessible. Visitors will be able to view artifacts in the museum and get up close to the locomotive and caboose, but will need to climb a few short steps to access the rolling stock.
